LEVEL WOUND COILED COPPER TUBE

Seamless copper tubes in level-wound coils (LWC) are particularly cost-effective for the manufacture of heat exchangers, tube bends, fittings, heaters. Long lengths provide the consumer with two advantages: little scrap and long machine times.
Material: Type DHP (material No.CW024A as per EN 12449, UNS No.C12200) copper. This material meets the requirements of ASTM (B280, B68 and B75) and EN (12735-1, 737-3 and 793) specifications.
Mechanical Properties:Tensile Strength – Min. psi, 30,000 (207 Mpa)
Yield Strength – Min. psi, 9,000 (62 Mpa)
Elongation in 2” (50.8mm) – Min. %, 40
Temper: Copper tubes in level-wound coils are preferably supplied in soft temper, but they are also available hard as drawn.
-Annealed tubes are supplied to manufacture products where they must be formed to a high degree and where fittings and bends demand.
-Hard temper copper tubes are normally used in the manufacture of solar heat absorbers.
Cleanliness and Appearance: As checked to the requirements of Specification ASTM B280/EN 12735, any residue on the inside of the tube will not exceed 0.0035 gm/ft2 (0.0377 g/m2). Both the inside and outside diameter surfaces will be clean and bright, with the finish being smooth and free from scale, open grain and mechanical defects.
Packaging: Nominal weight standards for ICEAGE level-wound coils are 100kg to 120kg.
ICEAGE furnishes level wound coils with cardboard reels. The reels are constructed of corrugated fiberboard and the reeled coils are palletized for ease in shipment and customer storage.
LWCs are wrapped in plastic film.
A wood pallet is provided.
